Tadpoles are the larval, aquatic stage of
amphibians, also called poliwog. Hatching
from the egg, the tadpole is gill breathing
and legless and propels itself by means of a
tail. During METAMORPHOSIS it develops lungs,
legs, and other adult features.
The FROG and TOAD loose their tails .
